Saying Many Heart Prayers : In Remembrance

Over this Thanksgiving Holiday, several people I know are enduring pain and heartache for various reasons.
This Remembrance is for two special people I call " friends ".
Please, say prayers as you go about your day.
I send many heart prayers out to my friends.
I think of you, pray for you, and I remember you !



In Remembrance of Maggie's husband :

A dear friend, whom I have posted about here, lost her husband to cancer, on Friday of this week.

Keith Vaughan, 52, of Amarillo died Friday, Nov. 23, 2007.


Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with the Rev. Robert Field, retired Baptist minister, officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.


Mr. Vaughan was born Dec. 27, 1954, in Amarillo, was raised here and had lived here most of his life.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1976 to 1980, then again from 1982 to 1986.

He served during the Iran-Contra conflict.


He once worked at Reese AFB in Lubbock.

Most recently, he was the IT manager at IMS in Amarillo.


He married Eileen ( " Maggie " ) Yates in 1997 in Amarillo.


Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Victoria Yates and Jennifer Robinson and husband Daniel, all of Amarillo; his parents, Art and Sue Vaughan of Amarillo; and a sister, Hannah Clark and husband Joe of Amarillo.


The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109.

Maggie dear, I am saying many. many heart prayers for you , your husband, and your entire family.
May you have peace in your heart, may you always cherish the memory of your husband.
I do pray and hope for you dear Maggie, that the future holds much kindness, for you deserve such love, hopefulness, and indeed, kindness.

In Remembrance : Samuel L. Walls

Another dear friend, Steven, recently lost his uncle to death also......

Mr. Samuel L. “Sam” Walls, 69, of Alabama 205, Boaz, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

Services will be Friday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. at McRae Chapel, with Brother Walter Thweatt officiating and Brother Charles Smith speaking.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mr. Walls was born in Etowah County on Aug. 18, 1938, to Louie and Mary Lou Putman Walls. Mr. Walls retired from NASA in 1998 as a program manager, after 35 yrs.

Survivors include his wife, Hylan Rowan Walls, of Boaz; son, Louie Walls, of Boaz; daughters, Tana Eubanks and Gina Springfield, both of Boaz; grandchildren, Teighe Alexander, Zack Alexander, Jadea Smith and Macie Springfield; brothers, Basil Walls and Roger Rowan, both of Boaz; sisters, Gail Phillips, of Clay, Novella Cone, of Tennessee, Melissa Robinson, of Springville, and Debra Perry, of Helena.Mr. Walls was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Brand.

Pallbearers will be Michael Brand, Russell Brand, Ron Arledge, Tracy Cone, Steve Cone, Chris Robinson, Chad Walls, Jonathan Perry, Rusty Rowan, Josh Rowan and Will Rowan.Honorary pallbearers will be Teighe Alexander, Zack Alexander, Jadea Smith and Macie Springfield.
